DAY 3: Port Craig Schoolhouse, Percy Burn Viaduct, Wairaurahiri River Today we head east along an old logging tramway used in the 1920's to transport logs to the mill at Port Craig. We will cross the spectacular Percy Burn Viaduct, thought to be the highest remaining wooden viaduct in the southern hemisphere. Our destination for the night is the Wairaurahiri Hut just across from the Waitutu Forest. This magnificent forest features giant Rimu and Totara hundreds of years old.
